Minya (Egypt), January 3 /MCN/ by Michael Wadie

Fr. Istafanos Shehata, deputy of Samalout, told MCN that families of abductees and the church could only find the state to help them reach their children kidnapped in Libya. He added, “I appeal to the Minister of Foreign Affairs to quickly intervene to at least save the rest of the Egyptians stranded in Libya to avoid any other incidents that may aggravate the situation there. They were kidnapped only because they were Copts.”
